The following board members were present: Shannon Hewett-Campbell, Taneesha Johnson, Leticia Evans, Mara Clark, Anton Arnett

  1. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by Shannon at 6:11PM
  2. Approval of Minutes: Taneesha moved to approve the minutes. Motion was seconded and the minutes were approved
  3. Financial Policies: Financial policies for the organization were discussed.
    1. The President and Treasurer shall check signing authority
    2. To ensure proper financial control, the VP (who does not have check signing authority) shall review monthly bank statements
  4. Prior Year Accomplishments
    1. 300 tickets sold for NewComing/Homecoming 2024
    2. Chargers Games
    3. Updated Staff lounge with coffee machine and supplies
    4. Teacher, Staff and Admin Appreciation days
  5. Events/Programs:
    1. PTO in charge of WeComing/Homecoming 2025 – date set for Saturday, October 25th, 2025 from 8 pm – 11 pm in cafeteria.
    2. Hospitality Committee is providing refreshments/lunch on one professional development day in the Fall and Spring semesters. Hospitality Committee is requesting volunteers, please see chairs LaWanda Brown and Crystal Evans.
    3. Kickback event – Family and Friends Night approved for November – no cost to attend. Vendors are requested
    4. CrawDads and CrawMoms will host a crawfish boil in the Spring semester. Mentors are requested. Criteria is forthcoming.

 

Other Business:

  • Membership dues: Officers $50 Members $35
  • Senior Committee clarification – Senior Committee is not a branch of the PTO but of the school. All senior class concerns need to be addressed to the senior class sponsor at ACHS.
  • 501c3 Status active
  • Class Yard Signs are in (2027, 2028, and 2029) no Senior class (2026) signs
